Topic: Backup Encryption on IBM i

With increasing requirements to protect data by encrypting backups, tape device encryption and software based backup encryption are now realities. Key to the new tape device encryption technology is that it's hardware based and will not affect overall backup and recovery performance. Encryption utilizing the TS1120/TS1130 and LTO4/LTO5 tape technologies will be discussed along with the new IBM i 6.1 and 7.1 software based backup
encryption with the Backup Recovery and Media Services (BRMS) product.
